COMEGA Weekends

What Will Happen This Weekend?

Friday evening will start with registration and a wholesome meal (if you prefer vegetarian food, please indicate this on the registration form). Following the evening meal will be a traditional opening circle, where we will begin the process of forming a sense of community. Following the opening circle you will have an opportunity to participate in a drumming and ceremonial experience.

Saturday activities will include three meals, a brief opening circle after breakfast, a number of workshops, and several hours of free time to explore the grounds, hike,or relax. After the evening meal, we will again gather in a community circle to reflect on the day's activities, followed by drumming and a talent show.

Sunday begins with breakfast, then an opening circle and more workshop sessions. There will be a closing circle in the morning, before lunch, to provide a formal, ritual closing to the weekend. Farewells and cleanup will follow lunch. Departure is slated for 2:00 PM.

This is an alcohol-free, drug-free, and weapons-free event.

Fee Schedule

Conference fees cover the cost of meals, workshops, activities, and lodging. Each participant will be responsible for his own cleanup at the end of the day and before the Sunday departure.

Register early to guarantee your space!

Cost for the weekend is $165.

In June 2009 the COMEGA Operating Committee agreed after much discussion to raise the weekend fee for the following reasons: an increase in the food budget payable to Camp Hazen, increased insurance and rental fees, increased administrative costs as well as anticipated increase in scholarship requests. Please note that the cost for one COMEGA weekend remains considerably less than the Massachussetts and Rhode Island gatherings. We appreciate your understanding.

Payments made above the basic fee are applied toward scholarships and are greatly appreciated.

A limited number of Partial Scholarships can be made available. We don't want to see financial hardships come between you and your ability to attend COMEGA. Call Dennis Knapp at (860) 974-0494 for more information.

Lodging Alternatives (as of January 1, 2009)
